Vista pirates..watch out for KB940510!!

The last post "Vista and XP..Unwanted Clones", was about pirated copies of Microsoft OS and how they become genuine and activated.. I guess, Microsoft won't just sit knowing that pirates have been released and they are losing millions. So, they have their SILENT REVENGE!!

Pirated Vista users should check updates given by Microsoft before installing them. Though, their copies have passed the Genuine Validation and Activation, Microsoft still has one more weapon to defeat software piracy, through the
KB940510 update. This update was created by Redmond company and was designed to kill Vista activation exploits that bypass product activation. This killing device is served to Vista clients worldwide, provided that the Windows Update is set to automatic. If activation exploits are detected, a link will be given to help you remove these exploits. You may be asked to provide another valid(legal) product key.

The pirate killer will integrate to
Vista: Business, Home Basic, Home Premium, Starter and Ultimate, however, not with the Enterprise edition.

  1. So, is this part of the reason why only YOU have administrator rights on our computer? So that you can install the right updates and not have us messing around?
